Mess makes me sulk, so I’m starting a blog to organise my thoughts, recipes and simple life pleasures into a neat virtual scrapbook.

Although this space was initially created to store all things homely, I’m now adapting it to build an archive of recipes that I have amassed over the years. You’ll find a mix of failures and successes, an awful lot of Nigel Slater’s inspired recipes as well as my own experiments and family classics from my childhood in France.

I’ve been calling North London ‘chez moi’ for nearly 15 years; this doesn’t mean I can pronounce ‘vocabulary’ correctly.

So have a read and let me know what you think –but grammar corrections may make me sulk.
